Expert Pest Control With a Local Touch
At Old Town Pest Control, we bring over 40 years of combined experience to the pest control industry. Our company began in 2015 as Prairie Dogs Pros, owned and operated by our President alongside his full-time role at a full-service pest and wildlife company. This foundation gave us a deep understanding of pest management from the start. In 2024, we expanded our services to include structural pest control, allowing us to protect homes and businesses from a wider range of pests. We pride ourselves on being a local, veteran-owned company dedicated to offering quality, trustworthy service to our community. Our leadership values both expertise and integrity, and we’re not just another pest control company—we’re your neighbors, committed to safeguarding your property with the same care and attention we would our own. Over the years, we’ve built lasting relationships and a reputation for quality service that clients can rely on.
Our President
Our President, Curtis Krell, A.C.E., has spent more than three decades in the pest control industry, becoming a respected leader in the field. His journey began as a technician in Austin, Texas, and after relocating to Colorado and joining a small 4-man operation, his passion for the field and dedication to quality work helped him rise through the ranks. Over time, he advanced to a senior leadership role in a large national pest control company, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience.
In 2015, Curtis founded Prairie Dogs Pros, which he successfully ran for 9 years alongside his full-time role with another pest control company. In 2024, he expanded the business to include structural pest control services, dedicating his full-time energy to what is now Old Town Pest Control. His dedication to quality service and building strong client relationships has always been a cornerstone of his work, and we continue to serve many of Curtis’ initial clients all these years later.
With an A.C.E. certification and numerous other educational achievements, his commitment to advancing industry standards is truly unmatched. He has served on the board of the Colorado Pest Control Association for three years, including one year as President. In addition to overseeing the education committee during his board tenure, he formed and now chairs the Colorado Chapter of PestVets, a group dedicated to supporting veterans in the pest control industry.
Our Internal Operations Director
With 9 years in the pest control industry, our Internal Operations Director, Celeste Carlson, began her industry tenure as a CSR for a small local pest control company, where she developed a strong client-first mindset. Throughout her career, she has used her passion for training and process improvement to streamline communication between office staff and customers. By simplifying complex procedures, she ensures that both our team and clients receive clear, actionable information without unnecessary complications, fostering an environment of trust, transparency, and satisfaction.
After serving in a senior leadership role at a large pest control company, Celeste took a one-year sabbatical to manage the corporate office of a successful local business. She was soon called back to the pest control industry to help found Old Town Pest Control in 2024. A 2020 graduate of Leadership Fort Collins and a volunteer for Professional Women in Pest Management, Celeste remains committed to making meaningful contributions to both the industry and her community.
